The Mission of the Bradford Public Library is to be a center of lifelong learning through our collection, technology and historical materials.
The Bradford Public Library provides information and resources in printed, audio, electronic, and visual formats along with computer access, study room, a history room, community room, and special
programs/events to patrons and the public throughout Darke and Miami counties and the Miami Valley region. The Bradford Public Library is located at 138 E. Main Street and staff may be reached

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR MOTHER'S DAY RAFFLE WINNERS: GAZING BALL-LISA ARNETT/SPRING WALL QUILT-GINGER GODFREY
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK WINNERS:
These adults received a "reading timer": Brenda Wick, Heidi Brown, Jenny Sargent, Nicole Hockett, Jessica Thacker, Pamela Mills, Lois Wilt, Ray Johnson, Sherrie Fries, and Stephanie Headings.
These Children & teens received a "shoulder bag": Morgan Wick, Trevor Coppess, Claire Hill, Caleb Coppess, Brett Kane, Emma Miller,Kasandra Bereczsky, Kaijsa, Maxwell, Deanna Carine, and Sarah Retz.
BPL-GRANTS RECEIVED THROUGH DARKE AND MIAMI COUNTIES: BPL has received several grants through Darke and Miami counties that are being used for the following:
1. Lydia E. Schaurer Memorial Trust Fund(Darke County)-to improve the quality of our historical artifacts and preserve them.
2. Miami County Foundation, Monetary Donation from the Covington Eagles, Anonymous Donation-were all used to purchase an interactive SmartBoard system, document camera & laptop to expand our business, school & organizational needs.
3. Wal-Mart Foundation-was recently received to create pamphlets, brochures, and training manuals for the library and our computer/Internet training sessions taught by Bradford High School business teacher Sharon Moore, library director Cherie Roeth, along with our Hearing Impaired Sign-Language classes taught by Rusty Martin.
4. Bradford Public Library will finally self-publish our book on "The Great Depression thru World War II Memories". People from Darke and Miami counties, along with the community of Bradford participated. Thanks to library employee Stacie Layman, former director Wanda Costello, library volunteer Sue Vickory, Truman Bashore and Cynthia Vogel as well as many other volunteers for their work on this project
5. Technology Updates: Our computers are new and up-to-date with the Windows 7 operating system, and MS Office 2007 applications. We will be changing to MS Office 2010 in the near future. Scott Besecker, our IT support person, has been responsible for the foresight and vision of where BPL is headed in the 21st century technology-wise, along with the BPL board of trustees and our library staff. Thanks to all of them for their vision of what libraries will become in the decades to come.

Ancestry.com is a subscription service, paid for by the Bradford Public Library for the convenience of its patrons. Access is limited to use at the library. Ancestry.com is one of the most well-known genealogy databases in the country!
